To continue our dealings with !!!error: Indecipherable SUB-paragraph formatting!!! , we have been able to get in contact with their operations manager. After explaining, in detail, again, our dealings with the shop, he has agreed to have them take another look at their work

!!! UNKNOWN CONTENT TYPE !!!

I am going to take the truck to another shop to have "certifiable" measurements taken on the control arm mount. Once it is confirmed that the mount is indeed still not in place, they will complete the work gratis (hopefully. If not, we will be contesting the charge and continuing down the BBB complaint road)

I've called a friend of mine, whom I should have called in the first place, to see if he can do these measurements. Here's hoping we can get this taken care of by Q1 2014!

It's my own damned fault. I should've listened to the wife and I'm never NEVER going to live that down

I had my own pocketbook in mind. I thought I built up a good rapport with the owner. We were even in talks to contract me for their IT/infrastructure work when they finished their shop annex. Apparently that meant very little as the owner will now not return any of my calls

This has been a bad run and I have only myself to blame. The wife was right (did you read that, wife? You were right) and we should've taken the hints that they were not going to be, well, on the up-and-up for getting this issue resolved

It happens; I've definitely made some dumb decisions that are brought up again occasionally. :P

I narrowly avoided a similar situation with my last Craigslist car purchase - luckily a friend with a machine shop helped me out of that one, though.
